COMARCH PARTNERSHIP 2020
The Comarch Partnership 2020 conference was an event where the company could present its latest solutions and applications that it intends to offer to its business partners. It included a review of the previous year, with presentations about the company’s results and an assessment of its activities. The highlight of the event was an awards gala, where prizes were awarded to the company’s best partners over the course of the past year.
The presentations, which had all been recorded beforehand at Comarch's headquarters in Kraków, were made in the company’s showroom and conference rooms, and also in the open air with the use of a drone. To add a little variety in the post-production, we included some spatial animations in the video materials. The entire conference was broadcast on the PINE platform, which gave each participant the opportunity to arrange direct meetings with other attendees and also allowed the event sponsors to present their offers in a virtual Expo zone.
Since the entire conference was held online, participants were also able to comment on, and even talk to, the speakers during the broadcast itself. They could also make appointments with each other and share their impressions of the conference on the social wall.
Communication before the event – 2 conference trailers
The communication activities and promotion of the event began well in advance, with the creation of 2 video teasers for the conference. The first one, which was recorded with the use of a green box, took a look back at the previous year’s event and featured graphics and footage to remind the participants how much fun it had been. The second trailer, announcing the specific topics and speakers that would be part of the 2020 edition, comprised several edited statements recorded on the company's premises which were then enhanced with multimedia animations.
Video-conference platform
The event was run on the PINE platform, which offers secure broadcasting capabilities and a variety of options for participants, organisers and speakers to communicate with each other. The platform also enabled us to broadcast from several conference stages simultaneously.
Expo zone
Comarch Partnership 2020 also provided a valuable space for the event sponsors. The six most important sponsors of the conference had their own booths in the virtual Expo zone on the PINE platform, giving each company the opportunity to conduct live presentations, talk with guests, play looped video materials and upload an offer that participants could then download onto their own devices.
Awards Gala
We recorded the awards gala for the Comarch conference using green box technology, adding a live link with the winners. This meant that participants of the conference who were watching the "picture feed" could see the hosts talking to the winners, who appeared virtually next to them. This is an effect well known from many TV news programmes. The announcement of each winner was preceded by a short animation and a music jingle, and the ceremony was hosted by two Comarch employees.
Lively
We started our work on the project by discussing the nature and purpose of the event so that we could get a good idea early on of the concept and the way it should look. Ultimately, we decided it would be best to record all the material in advance. Then we moved on to the conceptual work regarding the scenario of the event and, consequently, the scenarios for the recordings.
The opening of the conference was particularly important to us – there was to be a speech given by the owner of Comarch, followed by one from the MD of the company. We focused on creating various shooting sets with a variety of multimedia elements so that the speeches would be engaging and look original. At the same time, we also worked on the visual setting of the conference, the multimedia animations, recording logistics and the virtual studio using a green box, making sure we brought it all together into a single and pleasing whole.
During the product presentation speeches, we focused on how the speakers looked in the virtual space. The presentation window was the focus of attention, and this allowed us at the post-production stage to incorporate video materials into the presentations, as well as live shots and short clips of the speaker going through the system being presented.
The next stage involved preparing the PINE platform – we arranged the navigation menu, introduced the speakers, created event descriptions and graphics, posted photos and set up the Expo zone containing the booths of the conference sponsors. The final stage consisted of inviting the guests to the platform by sending them a tutorial on how to navigate around it. After the event, we prepared and sent the client all the key statistics connected with participation.
