Financial Education and Entrepreneurship Congress
The Financial Education and Entrepreneurship Congress is the most important meeting in the country devoted to the discussion, exchange of experiences and cooperation in the field of financial education and cybersecurity. The fifth edition of the congress, held on 25 March 2021 under the slogan "Financial education needed like never before – one year of experience, years of challenges", was the first one organised totally online. The event featured the active participation of representatives of public institutions, local governments, the financial sector, non-governmental organisations, schools, universities and the media.
An event full of shared knowledge, exciting discussions, lectures and inspiration! It was a huge organisational challenge, but that’s what we like most at Lively.
A dream team for special tasks
Having been set an ambitious goal, we started off by building a dream team with responsibility for specific tasks. The online conference was handled by Piotrek, with support from Filip and Darek from the technical department. The biggest challenge was synchronising the connection to the many stages and speakers as there were sometimes as many as 8 different stages in use at the same time. We provided a broadcast feed from the main booth in the studio, combining all the parts of the event that were going on in the different rooms in the building into a coherent and dynamic whole. The Lively team coordinated and supervised all the traffic going to these parallel stages. We also provided online and on-site technical support for the speakers, and maintained constant communication with the client in the same way.
What gives us most fun when organising such projects?
Take a look!
The first step to success – good communication
Communication is the basis, and good information flow is the foundation for building mutual trust and the comfort of participants and the client alike. The first step was to invite the participants to the platform on which the event was being held. We sent an email with access to the platform and an instructional video one day before the event – giving everyone time to log in and set up their profile. During the event, we communicated with the participants through scheduled announcements in the form of emails from the platform and push messages. In this way, we were able to keep everyone informed about the most important elements of the event, such as an important lecture or the start of a networking session. This is a great and proven way to keep the viewers’ attention during an online event.
#YoungPower
Since it is the mission of the organisers of the Congress to spread knowledge about entrepreneurship and financial education among young people, the event would not be complete without various attractions aimed at children and young people themselves. There was a specially prepared virtual stand presenting students' entries for an art competition titled "With a crayon and a brush in the world of finance", run by the Warsaw Banking Institute Foundation as part of the 5th anniversary of its Bankers for Education programme. Workshops were also held during the Congress for primary and secondary school students aimed at introducing them to the subject of financial education and cybersecurity.
A moment for advertising – the online Expo zone
The Financial Education and Entrepreneurship Congress 2021 was an event that aimed to educate its participants and expand their knowledge. With that in mind, we also prepared a special Expo zone for the event’s partners and 17 sponsors comprising dedicated stands where they had the opportunity to present their own films, presentations, graphics and links to social media.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of the ministries of Finance, Development, and Labour and Technology, while institutional patronage was taken by the National Bank of Poland, the Polish Bank Association, the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Conference of Rectors of Universities of Economics. It was organised by foundations involved in economic education – the Warsaw Banking Institute Foundation (operator of the Bankers for Education programme, established on the initiative of the Polish Bank Association) and the GPW Foundation (organiser of the Stock Exchange School and the Niebanalnie O Giełdzie [Making the Stock Market Fun] project). The general partner of the event was the Santander Bank Polska Foundation, the main partner was the Financial Market Development Foundation, and the supporting partner was PFR TFI.
Forget the "wow" factor, here comes the "Lively" factor
Over 570 participants, 8 parallel stages, 7 hours of learning from the best, sign language interpreting, a special media zone, meeting rooms, lectures for pupils and students and an Expo zone – all on the PINE platform. In a word: success! The thing about success is that you don't usually achieve it alone.
In this case, it was the result of great cooperation with the organisers, with the task schedule ensuring that each stage of the work was planned to the finest detail and ran smoothly. Working closely with the organisers, subcontractors and studio crew, we put together a great, goal-oriented team where everyone knew exactly what they were responsible for, both before and during the event, which made sure the entire conference proceeded smoothly and with no unpleasant surprises. For us, we derive the greatest pleasure from seeing the satisfaction of the participants and the client.
