ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum online conference
The main goal of the ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum is to create a platform for sharing experiences and practices between stop motion filmmakers, distributors, broadcasters, producers, animation service providers and industry representatives from around the world. The pitchings, consultations with experts and networking are all aimed at integrating the industry, as well as facilitating the establishment of international co-productions and cooperation.
ANIMARKT is about:
- Integrating the international stop motion film industry.
- Networking for creators and producers, broadcasters, distributors and investors.
- Strengthening the stop motion industry for continuous growth..
- Supporting international co-productions.
- Offering practical knowledge and opportunities to develop skills.
Online integration during the conference
The Animarkt Stop Motion Forum is an event whose main goal is to integrate the industry of producers and creators of stop motion animation. The organisers wanted the platform that we provided to enable the greatest possible interaction between participants, so 1:1 meetings, themed rooms and a series of short random networking meetings were just some of the functionalities of the PINE platform that we used during the event for this purpose.
Online workshops
A permanent part of ANIMARKT are the workshops with animation creators. And it was no different during the 2021 edition, which was held online. Workshops were held in specially designated spaces on the Zoom platform. Together with the organisers, we decided to use this platform due to its possibilities, the lack of restrictions on group size, and the ease of use for the speakers and the participants themselves.
Online poster session
During ANIMARKT, young animation creators could present their projects (Pitching Projects) in spaces specially designed for the occasion, enabling film presentations and video conversations with conference participants interested in their projects.
EXPO zones
The Expo zone for the forum partners was a very important space for the organisers as it was the place where they could showcase themselves and their brands. We prepared and designed several fair stands enabling the conference partners to broadcast video content, conduct webinars, talks and meetings, present their products, and post direct links to their social media.
Awards Gala
The Animarkt Forum ended with the traditional awards ceremony and the closing of the event. For the set, we used the historic EC1 building's engine room, from where we carried out the live broadcasts.
Video-conference platform
The ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum was held on the PINE platform in a similar format to the one traditionally used by the festival. There were a large number of lectures, debates and presentations on the main stage, as well as pitching projects (poster sessions), workshops, consultations and integration meetings – just some of the elements that were behind our decision to use the PINE platform. A key factor in this decision was also the need for the participants to integrate – with the many possibilities it allows for interaction among the participants, PINE proved to be a great "hub" for the forum. The clear layout of the platform, its general design and the possibility to customise the graphics were also aspects that were all praised by participants after the event.
Lively for the client
Our duties included creating a comprehensive work schedule and a scenario for the gala, as well as recording the speakers from around the world, following prior rehearsals, and providing the platform and appropriate training. Then we had to handle the post-production of the recordings and coordinate the live links of the speakers. The event contained many additional elements, such as poster sessions and workshops, that we also had to keep fully coordinated.
